Sure! I’ll get to it soon.
I’ll add an OC form now.
I hadn’t already because I’m still in the process of making bios.
But so long as your OC’s faceclaim isn’t already listed here, then it should be fine.
Hope to see your audition soon!
Sure! I’ll add her to my list :)
Any specific personality requests etc.?
Jamie Briggs|15|Sophomore|FC: Kristen Stewart|OPEN
Power(s): Telepathy, SuperHuman Senses (Sight, Hearing)
At the age of ten, Jamie was diagnosed with Schizophrenia. The visions she saw were telling her to hurt herself and to hurt the people around her. Mostly, she took the anger and frustration out on herself. She was put on medication and was closely monitored, being taken out of school to be home schooled by her aunt.
Sophomore year is Jamie’s first year back into regular school. Everything’s new to her all over again, and she’s worrying that after all these years her schizophrenia is going to creep up on her all over again. She’s still on the medication, but she’s keeping it a secret. She doesn’t want the other students to define her by a mental disorder.
Jamie’s not the most sociable of people. She’s spent so many years away from society, and feels awkward around groups of people. Plus, as an only child from a small family, she’s never had much chance to be around a lot of new people. Jamie just hopes that she won’t be surrounded by plastic people, and that at least someone will accept her.
Sometimes, the medication can cause Jamie to feel drowsy or for her vision to blur, even to have tremors and muscle spasms. She finds it difficult to concentrate and sometimes slips off the medication. She believes that her powers are some sort of side effect from either taking the pills, or having a lack of them.
✓ funny, friendly, determined, understanding.
x awkward, frustrated, self-conscious, sensitive.
Marissa Hawthorne|16|Junior|FC: Dakota Fanning|OPEN
Power(s): Pain, Hunting/Visioning.
Before her sister went missing, Marissa was generally a happy spirited girl in the higher end of the social ladder. She may not have been the nicest girl behind your back, but Marissa was always happy and light spirited - perhaps to the point of being naive, even a pushover at times. Alissa was a sister she’d always cared for, despite what ever happened, and loved her dearly. When she went missing, everything went wrong.
A police officer arrived at the Hawthorne household to announce her sister officially missing, as they’d found no trace of her at the school; they’d even searched the woods, but to no avail. Marissa had begun to cry, falling back, almost falling into the table behind her when the officer grabbed her arm to stop her. She reached out in panic and pushed his arm away angrily, not intending to harm him - Marissa had always been the kind of girl who couldn’t hurt someone even if she tried.
The officer stumbled back, clutching the arm she’d pushed and gasping in pain. He pulled his sleeve up but could see no trace of the pain: no bruise nor burn. He said that it had felt like a sharp pain shooting through his veins. Marissa apologised in a jumble of words but the police officer simply left in a hurry, eyeing her suspiciously.
Since then, Marissa began to drink. She drank to relieve the stress of her sister’s disappearance and her parent’s fighting. She drank to feel happy again. But Marissa was a lightweight, and often found herself collapsed on her bed by the end of the night. One night, she saw Alissa in her dream. Her younger sister told her to stop the drinking - to be strong, to find her… Marissa now thinks that the mysterious happenings have more to them than just coincidence. Could she be the one to find her sister?
✓caring, brave, intelligent, usually happy.
x emotional, neurotic, naive, pushover.
Alissa Hawthorne - Sister; she swore to always protect her sister, despite her preoccupations with boys and popularity. Alissa is dearly important to her, and she always will be.
Andrew Moorfield|16|Junior|FC: Logan Lerman|OPEN
Andrew’s the kind of guy who seems ridiculously quiet, perhaps to the point of being shy. However, he’s just a little bit antisocial and not shy at all. Generally, he just doesn’t like to mix with most of the people he meets. He’d much rather plug in his headphones and take a stroll around the school grounds. Sure, some of the popular kids have given him a hard time in the past - but honestly, they gave up once they realised he just did not care.
Growing up, Andrew never had his parents around him. Not his real ones, at least. His dad was, and probably still is, a drunk. His mother kept them apart for reasons that he came to understand as he grew up.
When Andrew was seven, his mother left to work in New Zealand, leaving him with his aunty, uncle and what came to be their six children. At the time, he didn’t really understand why his mother couldn’t be with him. But now he is thankful for the effort she puts into building a better life for him, and it’s thanks to her that he even got an audition at Alisle - getting a pass, thanks to his swimming and Biology abilities.
Since his aunty wasn’t capable of having her own children, all of her six children were adopted. Once their last child reached five years old, the couple also began to foster a child or a pair of siblings at a time. Thanks to this, Andrew developed a deep caring for family, children and people close to him. He often helps out around the house when he’s not at Alisle, and his family are some of the only people he feels truly comfortable around.
✓ family-oriented, determined, patient, thoughtful, resilient.
x antisocial, easily stressed, somewhat naive, bitter.
Reece Winters|16|Junior|FC: Emma Roberts|OPEN
Reece is one of those girls you see sitting in that shaded corner at lunch, smoking a cigarette and looking out on the groups of popular girls with disgust. Reece doesn’t have many friends, but she doesn’t mind. There’s not many people in the school she’d want to be friends with.
What she does mind, is her home life and the bullying. Alisle was supposed to be an escape for her, away from the constant fights and arguments she had with her drunken mother. Once her elder brother left for university, Reece was left to take care of her mother alone. She was sick of it. When she got to Alisle, things got worse in a different aspect - bullying. Other girls bullied her for her clothes and her music taste, her witty attitude and her views on life. Boys bullied her for being so different, for standing out, they teased that she’d never had her first kiss; that she must be a lesbian.
Smoking and self harm was her way of dealing with it. But Reece is tough, she stands up for herself and has learned to stand up for the people she cares about and the things she believes in. She’s been getting stronger.
She was in her room one night over the summer holidays, lighting a cigarette. She flicked the lighter, then flicked it a few more times. Her mom was late home. As usual. She kept flicking the lighter, each time angrier, each time thinking of something in the world that annoyed her…
Suddenly, her room was alight. Flames licked up her walls and curled around her, spreading throughout the house. Yet, a couple hours later when the fire brigade arrived, not a single flame, not even the scorching heat, had touched her. It was as though they’d created a wall around her, like a force field was holding them just a little out of the way. The lighter was still clutched in her hand, but it was empty. It had been empty for weeks.
✓ witty, strong, feisty, hard working.
x depressive, angry, ignorant, introverted.
